A downloadable game
update: i will need to fix some bugs so im taking it down for now
its a game concept ive been working on. it started from a game jam thats where i programmed the core.
the game is simple, collect yellow orbs avoid enemies. a very casual game.
features:
- 9 levels
- 2 types of enemys
i tested all the levels, if you have any suggestions ideas please write them in the comments.
the idea is creating something simple i can gradually add complexity to, and also be very modular. as im sure other people can create better stages with the current framework.
i am a programmer not an artist or musician, so at this stage the art is simple and no music or sound yet.
i created this game using java slick2d and my framework based on slick2d. im planning on adding particle effects as its a built in feature in slick2d.
the game is free as its a concept i test and a game design exercise. feel free to play and leave feedback.
future plans:
maybe in the future if i finish it i will sell it for a symbolic price.
or maybe i will sell the rights to it if anyone is interested in owning a game like this (with a re skin and other stuff a potential buyer might want for a custom price).
my version will always be free for testers and subscribers.
i might port it to corona sdk so i can build it as an android/ios app. but i dont know if mobile controls fit this sort of game.
maybe i will make a level editor, so others can add their levels.
for now its on alpha mode. there are builds for windows and linux.
known bugs:
*walls collision, almost fixed. if you get stuck or anything press r and the level will reset.
for anything else use the comments.
also i would like to add that developing and programming games is hard. even the simple things. its also time consuming . but i like doing it.
